We’re six4CNC — a precision titanium design and manufacturing studio based in Marin County, California.
Our name says it all: six4 comes from 6Al-4V titanium (Grade 5) — the aerospace-grade alloy at the core of everything we make — stronger than steel yet 45% lighter, completely corrosion-proof, hypoallergenic, and built to last a lifetime. CNC represents the Computer Numerical Control process that allows us to craft it with exacting precision. Together, they define both the material and the methodology behind every piece of titanium gear we create.
Our work merges art, engineering, and function, with every piece CNC-machined and laser-engraved in-house to exacting standards right here in California — no outsourcing, no shortcuts. From concept to engraving, the same hands and machines bring your piece to life.

Meet the Designer
Jeff McWhinney, founder of six4CNC, has spent a lifetime at the intersection of engineering, design, and performance.
His career began creating high-function, high-design hardware for luxury yachts and racing sailboats, It next led him to the world of bicycle component design and manufacture with much respected Paragon Machine Works.
During the rise of ultra-precision manufacturing, Jeff spent a decade at 3M’s Optics Technology Lab, immersed in the world’s most advanced microstructure design and machining. As Senior Research Machinist, he developed tooling, machining strategies, and programming for multi-million-dollar CNC machines — often cutting structures so small and complex that it wasn’t always clear they could even be made.
Today, Jeff combines that expertise with his passion as a multi-sport athlete and adventurer. From his Marin County studio, he designs and crafts titanium gear that reflects a lifelong pursuit of purpose, function, strength, and elegance.
